On April 20, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai jointly held the press conference about IPR integrated development in Yangtze River Delta area where the Framework Agreement on IPR Integrated Development in Yangtze River Delta Region and the White Paper on IPR Development and Protection in Yangtze River Delta Region were released.

　　As the world’s sixth city cluster, the Yangtze River Delta has arisen as one of the most vibrant and intensive areas of innovation and IPR protection and is the convergent part of the “Belt and Road” and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Chen Yajuan, Head of Shanghai IP Office said that, in 2017, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai all ranked among the top 10 nationwide in terms of ownership of invention patents for every 10,000 people. The Yangtze River Delta holds 32.4% of the total national patent applications and owns 22.85 invention patents for every 10,000 people, much higher than the national average level of 9.8.
